THE PROJECT:
Originally known as First National Tower, Akron’s tallest building completed in 1931, is now a component of Cascade Plaza. The project included window replacements that were historically consistent with building’s design.
THE CHALLENGES:
The biggest challenge, is that the building remained occupied during the replacement phase. Careful logistics were studied to minimize the impact to employees and tenants. Tall buildings have serious safety challenges in addition to limited storage areas and access to elevators.
THE RESULTS:
Our phased delivery approach was on-time and on-budget. We served as the prime contractor and provided all logistics, planning, and work for this large and complex project.
